About ELI
Curious, Thoughtful, And Full of Questions.
Eli is the heart of this story, a young boy who loves to listen and learn. He asks the kinds of questions children are already thinking about history and faith. Through his eyes, ancient Egypt becomes real, not distant or confusing.
Readers grow right alongside Eli as he discovers how God works through time and people.
Eli’s Family
Learning Together at Home
Eli’s parents create a home where questions are welcome and stories are shared. His father, a history professor, gently introduces real discoveries from ancient Egypt. His mother brings warmth, stability, and everyday love to their family life.
Together, they show children how faith, learning, and family can grow side by side.
The Storyteller
From Real-Life Hardship to Purposeful Storytelling.
Author Jay Boyle drew on his own journey through service, work, and recovery. After a serious stroke, he felt a strong calling to write this story for families. His love for history and faith shaped every page of Eli and the Pharaoh’s Dream.
Through his writing, he hopes to help children see God’s hand in both history and daily life.
What Families and Educators Are Saying
Real stories of impact from homes, classrooms, and churches.
“A Beautiful Bridge Between History and Faith”
“As a parent, I am always looking for stories that teach something real and still feel gentle. This book helped my children understand ancient Egypt and Joseph’s story without feeling overwhelmed. We finished it together and my kids kept asking questions long after the last page.”
“Perfect for Sunday School and Midweek Classes”
“I used Eli and the Pharaoh’s Dream with our elementary group and it was a great fit. The kids connected with Eli right away and it made the Joseph lessons easier to explain. The historical details gave me a stronger foundation for teaching, and the children stayed engaged the entire time.”
“A Gentle, Thoughtful Addition to Our Homeschool Shelf”
“As a homeschool mom, I appreciate stories that can cover more than one subject at once. This book brought together Bible study, history, and reading in a very natural way. It has become one of those titles we will return to whenever we revisit ancient civilizations.”
